Default Any pictures of aftermarket radios installed?

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of their aftermarket radio installed in an 04 forester XT. I wanted to look at what a single din radio would look like in the double din location. I have an Alpine MP3 player that was in my civic that is just sitting here collecting dust. I'm considering installing it, but I may miss the weather band...lol. So any pics guys and gals?

Thanks, that's what i was looking for. What mounting kit did you get? I like that cover below the radio.

No mounting kit was required, simply pulled the stock deck out and the new one fits right on.

the cover below is the single din pocket from Forester X, it was like 30 bux CDN or something from my subie dealership.

Can you tell how you removed the original radio?

Do you have a part number for that DIN cover?

Here's the part at allsubaru. Not sure if their item number = the Subaru part number or not though.

The link is not working for me, but i just navigated their site and found it. Thanks.

My next question is regarding installing the radio. After installation will the factory sub no longer work? Also i read something about needing to send power to the antenna amplifier.

Checkout the scoobymods website (I can't post the URL due to the 10 post rule). They have excellent pictures of how to install a new radio and hook up the factory sub to it. As for power to the Antenna amp, just hook up the power antenna lead from the new radio to the power antenna lead on the wiring harness ($10-15 at any stereo shop). Good luck and enjoy!!
