I don't get it - is the Koyo the same size as stock? Not larger for extra cooling capacity?

the on contrary they are MUCH larger.

the GC 8 stock radiator looks puny in comparison to the Koyo one.

it just means that they are designed to fit as direct bolt ons and are designed per application to be most efficient, as opposed to a universal application adapted to fit like some manufacturers do.

I would like to see an actual photo of this radiator ( front and side views ). Please measure the core thickness also.

So the Koyo radiator is larger than stock, but made to bolt on directly? I'm assuming that no modifications are needed to install the radiator. I saw a demo model of this a few months back, and it looked like a great piece of work.
I'll probably be ordering one soon...

the only one that requires modification is the one for the GC8, because its so thick it requires a fan set. stock fans do not work with that application. the WRX one is a direct swap.

they have stock replacement radiators for the 95-99 automatics, but they do not have the Racing aluminium radiators available.

Hello Brad I went ahead and placed my order. I have seen an actual photo of the radiator and I am satisfied. But when I placed the order through your web site I noticed I was charged for shipping, will this be adjusted ?
Thanx, Tom.

Actual picture of WRX model.

Who makes the silicone hoses and how many plys are they?

Thanks John

Hi everybody!
Just want everyone to know I bought the Koyo radiator with the silicone and wetwetter for $475. Actually Brad threw in the Blitz radiator cap and Axxis Ultimate brake pads for $590 shipped. I couldn't take any pictures because I don't have any digi cameras but let me tell, these Koyo's are BIG! Almost twice the size as stock and looks so damn good. It was really easy to install and needed no fabrication. There were a couple of minor things to alter: there are 5 bolts on top that holds the fan and the piping for the reservior bottle, the stock bolts don't fit but I went to Home Depot and found some. Other than that everything went smoothly. I was so happy and went for a test drive. On the way back home I blew my 3rd gear. Time for Sti RA gears.

John: I can't tell you the % of cooling but the temp gauge is slightly lower (I also installed the crucial thermostat) And Brad says the hoses are the same as Perrins. It is pretty daamn thick. Almost two or three times thicker than stock. It was biitch to install the hoses because they were so thick that it was hard to move it.

Still curious about how these compare to a Griffin Radiator.
Also specifics about the core.
Did you get the Crucial T-stat from them as well?

actual core size is 27.5l x 13h x 2w.

I'm still working on getting pictures. we left our camera in our rig in atlanta.

the hoses are made by thermal flex, and are identical in construction and quality to perrin's (same manufacturer )

I've compared these to both the fluidyne's the PWR's and the griffin's, and while all are much better than stock, the KOYO is step above all of them.
