Default Pocono TIme Trial

Just ran the Pocono North course in a stock 04 WRX. Great car to time trial, very stable and predicitable. I ran with the Connecticut Autocross and Rally Team. They used an open format without practice groups, so I got to run as much as I liked before the timed runs. Had a problem with a tire going down during a run, so no official time, but I going back a to Pocono with CART again on July 19, if they still have any open slots.

Sounds like fun. I'd like to start doing time trials with NASA once I've gotten some more track time under my belt.

The open format sounds great. Can you estimate how much seat time you got?

I got in about 45 laps on the north course before I blew the right front tire. My friend Gary ran 2 hours straight until he needed gas. I was trying to take it easy on a stock WRX on street tires, just run sprints 5 - 10 laps then cool the tires and the brakes, but the Pirelli P6000 had different ideas.

60 or 80 mph. The right front went down due to a sidewall bubble on the last left before re-entering the banking. It wasn't really wild, the car just slid out and "fell" down. Got to the pit and the pressure was zero. No other damage.
