Question Delorean

I just had to mention this, it struck me silly. I drive 40 miles to work every day. I never see another Baja. Maybe I see one once a month. Well on Sunday I was driving to work and saw not one but two Deloreans. I'm lucky to see two different Bajas in a month and I see two Deloreans in a day! So now I'm curious, I found out that 8583 Deloreans were built between 1981 and 1983, how many Bajas have been produced? And where the hell are they??!!

Well you know....
If I hadn't seen the other one (same color as mine) at the dealer 5 months ago, I wouldn't know it existed either.
I saw the car once, and have not seen it again. I have even cruised the area of town this car is supposed to be in, still nothing. There was a yellow one and a silver one on the lot 8 months ago....where are they now??? And I get more "cool car/truck" shouts each week, like nobody has ever seen one of these. Another case for Mulder and Scully I guess.

Well,

Where I live, in Tampa, I see them quite often. I know of at least two that I see almost daily, and see others at least once a week.

The local dealer I purchased mine from has sold 35.

Must be a regional thing............

you guys are funny

There are 4 Bajas in my town, but I don't really see them any where else. The other day 2 Lamborginis go roaring by me on my way home from work. Come on people this is Maine, Lamborginis? The Baja has way more space and cargo room!

There are 3 other baja's in my area..but mine is the only turbo... I wanted to race one but the guy wouldn't have it...so then he ate my dust heheh. I rarely see them and one of them I only see in a drive way on the way home...actually its parked by the Brewery every single day no matter what time it is.
Maybe they are at the bar? humm...

I do have more outback owners look at the car. It's more of an "I saw one of those on the lot...but didn't think anyone actually bought one" looks. LOL A few points from drivers of WRX's, and grins from Forrester owners. I agree, this Baja craze must be a regional thing. That's an incredible amount in one area!

Well, I guess we know where all the Bajas went......they have really caught on here.

Seems like we see more every week, and yes, every WRX, Forester and Outback driver that we run into in a parking lot needs to have a thorough tour of the car. Guess being "Baja goodwill ambassador to the world" comes with the territory.

I have owned some interesting cars in my life, but I have NEVER gotten so many positive comments/questions about a car before this one, and if you can believe it, only one negative comment (at least, only one that I heard).

Even my old Honda N600 (for those of you who don't know, this was a 2cylinder, air-cooled car that made a Mini look like an H2)
never got as much attention as this thing, even when I took it out to the car show, and pulled the ramps out of my F250, and DROVE IT INTO THE BED.

Never have I been happier with a car purchase.......world's biggest Baja fan here.....

My wife and I were in her Baja two days ago and stopped at a car lot to look at a Delorean, how odd is that? Brian

I see them every now and again in Baltimore. Not all that often. But then again, I'm not really looking for them.

Now I'll probably see them all the time.

Same thing happened with Saabs. I never paid attention to them, till I went to Vermont for a vacation. I saw a ton of them there and thought: "Hrm, must be a north thing, never see them in B-more." Now I see a ton of them.

Talking Baja's in NEPA

We have 1/2 dozen or so. One of my coworkers bought the turbo garnet red so at shift change there are two garnet red Baja's in the parking lot.
I have seen a few 03's (1) yellow,(1) blue and a silver all have the silver/gray cladding. I think there is one silver 04 hanging around also.
I'm getting alot of looks and a lot of people ask me about the car so I'm playing salesman too. Wonder if I'll get a referall fee.....LOL
