Just do a search!
after reading posts and searches on infor i have questions on, i relize i know very little, but what i do know is that i am seeing alot of people with "specialist" sub title asking rather well discussed questions. one of the reasons i may still be a newbie, and proud of it, is because the first thing i do when i have a question is search for the answer. there is more info on these pages than you can imagine if you just look for it
thanks for letting me vent

That's very true but there is always new info on different topics. And they are usually told to do a search anyway.

The problem could easily be solved by having a more prominent "search button". All the veteran users know where the search button is located, I doubt first time users even notice the search button.
My biggest peeve is when someone posts a repeat question and the only reply is the "Go search the archives dummy.." response. Post something helpful and THEN tell the originator to search the archives. |
