Question Does anyone have KYB AGXs with Eibach Springs?

I want new springs and struts without having too harsh of ride. The KYB AGX and Eibach setup from SPD seems logical, and is only 635 dollars. If anyone has this or something better for around $650 please tell me about it.

right over Here I happen to have that exact setup. I find the ride firm, but not at all harsh or annoying. I also upgraded to 17" wheels and corresponding low profile tires. So that proabably made it worse. I find that long drives over bumpy roads are fine and freeway its seemless. You will not regret this setup as long as you stay level headed with your daily settings on the struts.

Good luck!

Dolphin-

If you're willing to sacrifice adjustibility, you can have a complete P1 setup (STi v.5 takeoff struts and Eibachs) for $520 pre-shipping.

Contact www.subaruparts.com or www.qsubaru.homepage.com or www.troncalli.com. Note that the latter two don't charge shipping.

I am going with the 5Zigen springs and the takeoff struts, though my struts cost about $470 shipped. I really wish I could have gotten that $150 back! The struts are now $320 shipped through any of the above places.

The 5Zigen springs are available for about $175 shipped from Auto Imaging (www.autoimaging.com) after your i-club discount.

Have a good one.

QSubaru told me they do charge shipping. UPS Ground shipping. Why does everyone keep saying they don't, but they told me they do.

Garface-it says specifically on their site that they don't charge shipping.

I'm pretty sure, however, that Troncalli doesn't charge shipping for anything.

Maybe it's just an exception due to the size of the product?

Mike Shields is a guru. He won't steer you wrong.

That said, Ground Control offers ride height adjustability via their adjustable spring perch. Group buy price was about $780 for the spring/shock package. You choose which Eibach spring you want, struts=KYB/AGX.

I am happy with my setup. 5-door with 9" springs (315F/280R). The shocks can work to soften the stiffness for everyday driving. I am still experimenting with ride height and shock settings.

I might be wrong. But doesn't the AGX can be useful in spring rates which are under 275lb/in?

When I first set mine up, I had shocks at 2F and 6R (fronts are 1-4, rear are 1-8). Very stiff; I thought I had ordered wrong springs. I changed the shocks to 3R and the car is comfortable for regular street driving.

So, my 315/280 springs do not seem to overpower the KYB/AGX.

Question

Correct me if this is not right, but can't you get the SPD/Eibach springs for $227 and the KYB/AGX struts for $389 (at PST)? That adds up to $616. Or have I missed something?

Mike's price(SPD) should be a bit lower. The GC setup is custom because it allows ride height adjustability.
Ground Control coil-over spring conversion kit plus 4 Eibach springs = $399 [pre group buy discount of 18%].
Ground Control KYB/AGX = $390
plus shipping and Tax
