Brake Clack
Since I just found out that other 99'RS owners have experienced the small glitch in acceleration at 3500-4000rpm I want to see if others have experienced this. After only 3000 miles, my brakes would make a loud "clacking" noise when I would role to a slow stop. A metal to metal sound that is not in my imagination. Anyone in the car, and folks outside the car, can hear. The noise would not occur all the time either. I really could not guess when it was going to happen. Now, at 15,000 miles, the sound has all but disapeared. I have had the car serviced about 6 times, 3 seperate shops, and no one has any idea what it could be. I drove very hard on tight mountain roads and caught air on a few occasions, could I have bent something? Why would the noise go away? The brakes work great, always have. I would appreciate any comments.
Thank you AaronRS PS- all the members who live near Marin County, California, you are very lucky. I lived their my whole life and even learned to drive on Highway 1 between Muir and Stinson Beach. I moved to Wash, DC and the driving is very boring. Have fun and appreciate what you have.

I had a caliper bolt come out on my RS. It was the rear driver's side and man did it make a racket. But I'm sure one of the shops would have noticed that

I had the identical sound, and yeah, it seems to be gone now at 24,000mi ... nobody seemed to think it was an issue, but I'm not sure what it is/was.
