Default Tire advice needed for track event...

What would be a better tire/rim combo? Use the stock rims and get some nice track tires or stick w/ my 18x7.5 rotas w/ yoko avs es100's? I'm curious how much of an improvement (if any) would it be on a road course to put my stock rims on but upgrade to a better tire.

I know my current setup is a street tire but I'm wondering if it would be worth the extra money to buy new tires for the stock rims. If so, what tire would you recommend for the stock rim... and it would basically be used only on the track. Thanks.

Depends on how much experience you have, how much grip you want, and how much money are you willing to spend.

If plan on tracking regularly, I'd definitely recommend a dedicated set of track tires. What those tires are depends on how serious you are.

I'm not serious at all... I haven't even been to an event yet but I do plan on going to one soon. I just have to convince my friends to go. Anyways, I'm not really looking to spend a ton of money seeing that I'll probably go to maybe 2-3 track events a year... depends on how much I enjoy my first one and if I have the funds to support it.

I guess if my current setup will suffice than I don't think I'll spend the extra money. I could probably spend the extra cash in a rear swaybar instead. Just looking for suggestions on tire setups for a reasonable price. Thanks again.
