a bird for me too - but it wasnt as grotesque as the photo ... well all the feathers were everywhere but the bird was still alive. However no wings or blood, but it was rather scarey he was like staring at me when i took him out of the engine bay and layed him stranded gasping for his last breathes on the side of the road, as i went into the restaurant for some late night snacking

I like your thought process throughout the ordeal...

"Damn, I just stripped a bird of its feathers, wings, and last breath with my hood scoop... Okay, time to eat!"

I know this is a little off topic, but do you guys remember seeing those pics from a while back of the engine bay of a guy's RSX Type-S? A snake had crawled into his engine compartment, and I guess the guy started his car (obviously not knowing that) and then the moving parts totally killed the snake and ripped it up. I might have the pic saved on my computer...

I'll pass.. I'm not crying over it.. just expressing my disgust for someone to think it's funny to torture a living creature. I never would have said anything if there hadn't been a 'lol' emoticon involved in his post.

Well, the scoop itself was ripped off... The area of the scoop that hold it on (where the bolts are) was intact... it also bent the black scoop underneath (whatever the hell it's called )... It also caused some minor damage to the IC (bent fin and a small crease)... I was just happy that I replaced my windshield about 2 days prior to this.. the old one had a long crack accross the bottom... The way the flap hit it, it would have went clean through the old windshield...

That's pretty sick. A coworker's car destroyed his cat when he started it one day. It took him a week to get it decently cleaned out. From what he said there were parts everywhere.

I found a half inch metal tube about 2 inches long in there, bent the pins pretty good. I don’t know if someone threw it in there or if I caught it driving. If I caught it driving then Im happy because that would have busted through my windshield.

I fished about two dozen Cicadas out of my hood scoop on Friday morning. Damned Brood X, things are everywhere!
