I drove over a plastic bag one day and it wrapped itself around the fan stopping it. I had to pull over and find out what was grinding inside the engine bay and then had to cut the bag out. I avoid bags since then. (this was in my Firebiird a while back)

Not a Subaru story, but a "something got stuck to my car" story with benefits. A few years back I was drivng a Dodge Coronet with traction bars and I ran over a plastic shopping bag a few blocks from my friends house. When I got there I noticed that it had hooked onto one of the traction bars, when I pulled it off I found a brand new package of velcro in the bag. No s*it... I have some of it left to this day.

I finally got my first kill! This past saturday, a bird flew into my car, or my car ran into the bird...whatever. Only one feather made it in my hoodscoop, but I was proud to have caught something on my intercooler. I NEVER get stuff in there.

This post reminds me of a thread I found on a corvette forum once about their vararam uintakes...

It was hilarious. I wish I could find it again.

Worst thread ever to read while eating breakfast.

that was a HUGE SNAKE under that guys hood.

Yah and don't cry about animal cruelty if you eat meat or dairy, then you'd be a hippocrit. Ever been to a factory farm you would know what I mean.

not to threadjack or anything.

not a hood scoop story but on the way back from work last week with the windows down ... a cicada flew in and hit me in the nose (thought the douch in the SUV in front of me had thrown something out the window) ... it landed on the floor behind the passenger seat and a wing was ripped off... had to wait till i got back to my driveway before i could get rid of it ... but when i scooped it up with a piece of paper and tossed it out the window, it hit the grass and flew away! I thought it was dead cuz it hadn't been moving at all ...

I (like others) have picked up a bird in my scoop... and one in my grille too. For a while I was thinking the local birds had a death wish.

A page from some gay pr0n mag when I was in Vegas (this will not end well). I think someone shoved it in there while it was parked, because I didn't notice anything fly in there while we were driving. Not what I needed to see when I washed the car the following weekend. Made me want to get a hoodscoop screen after that.

Worst for me in 2 1/2 months of ownership is a bunch of gravel covered in tar, and that was 2nd day I had it. Stupid morons decided to "fix" a cracked road near me by pouring tar and gravel over it, but put way too much big gravel down and nowhere near enough tar. Luckily a bent IC fin was the worst of my damage.
