not subaru but i was driving my brothers 300zxtt nailed a bird after just getting it washed i was at about 90mph on a back road when it happend put it straight through the splash guard splattered blood all over the front

A cat got into mine to get some warm place to sleep. It made some pretty weird noises for about an hour or so at highway speed. I though it was turbo noise but found what was left next day. All swollen and cooked

ahh dude, before i owned a subaru. i went out to my truck to leave for work one morning. truck wouldnt start. so i popped the hood, and scoped around... i didnt even notice at first, but there was a possum (nasty oversized rats with big f-in teeth) sittin in the engine bay. apparently the little bastard chewed on my wiring. so now i have a problem. but first, let me say im glad he ate my wiring because if i would have started, and drove to work, ewwwww, that would have been so gross. but now i have to get the damn thing out of the engine bay. what to do, what to do? i didnt want to touch the damn thing, so i got a stick and started poking at it. standing maybe 2-3 feet away. the lil shet started hissing at me! hahah, i was so freaked out. it had a creepy look to its face too. i just kept poking, and finally he crawled out away from me.

moral of my story, glad my car didnt fire up. would have been a crap load of cleaning.

well haven't had any strange things fly into the intercooler but i saw a chipmunk run out of my exhaust pipe. lol

a can of carb/choke cleaner or brake cleaner is REMARKABLY effective in purging the engine bay of unwanted critters......

that snake pic still freaks me out, i f'in hate snakes...i kill everyone i see...oh well, they are supposedly cursed by god to slither on the ground....i hate em

well i can't say i've found them in the intercooler, but at our dealer the two wierdest things we've found in a grille is a starfish and a bat.

It wasn't a hood scoop kill, but when I was working as a Chevy service tech we found a dead, rotted cat under the spare tire of a traded in Jeep Cherokee. Except for the smell we would have never known it was there.

As for hood scoop kills, I'll have to start hunting when I get my STi scoop installed this week.

Not necessarily cruelty to animals, there is a lot of non-living objects found as well.
