I've got some other stuff in the car, but if I posted it up on the boards then everyone would know.

Do not tell us what manufacturer or model, just type if it is something not listed

Like a friend of mine has a Clifford with the nausea siren. It is such a high ptch and a frquency that is supposed to make you sick and it is nondirectional. It also has its own battery. It is supposed to penetrate earplugs. Yeah right!

That being the case what is the purpose of the poll and why would this be of interest to you? Just curious.

I am compiling a list of easy targets and selling them to a thief near you.

Or really...

I am thinking of becoming a distributor of a certain type of alarm system and I was wondering what the ratio of types might be in order to give me some direction in marketing.

I hope most people have enough sense as to not post too much info about themselves on any site much less how one should steal thier car.

Just click on your answer(s) and not anything else unless you need to describe something specisl about your TYPE of alarm system.

Please do not describe your manufacturer or anyway some evil bastard could figure out where/who you are

i dig my remote start. I have other assorted things in my car, but i know there are ways around it.

2-ways are sex for gadget freaks, hence why so many of us have them

I wanted to include remote start but I ran out of options so I chose to list other as a catch all.

Well one poster is from New Jersey and has every right to be concerned right now. I was simply curious and have no fear of car theft. I think it was appropriate to tell people not to mention car alarm types. However , and I may be wrong here, but if I was in the alarm business I think I would want to encourage paranoia rather than treat it in a sarcastic way.

Hmm. .must be referring to me. No way I'm telling anyone what I have on my car now. Don't want "Bob Marley and M&M" to be looking for my car.

Just like a 2-way radio... both units act as a receiver and a sender. So when your alarm goes off it will alert the remote on your keychain.

2-way pager with lots of add on gadgets would be basic to me.
Video, GPS, Nav, computer, 802.11g, redundant kill systems, military grade CS, window modules, temp/rain sensors, battery backups, multiple sirens, light show, and other goodies should be in a basic alarm package - that way you might actually catch the thief
