It isn't black, its blue!

Default Awesome 2-day gravel TSD rally in Nor Cal July 17,18

Buried deep in Bill's monthly notice you will find mention of Golden West 2004.

Evoking marathon gravel tours of days gone by, this event will involve driving on some of the twistiest unpaved roads in the CA OR border region, using tulip instructions for route following.

Contestants will attempt to time their arrival at over 100 locations along the route to correspond to times given in the routes, with points given for coming in either early or late.

Whoever completes the weekend with the fewest points takes home a trophy.

But everyone that enjoys driving on twisty gravel will have tons of FUN.

We can also use workers, so if competing in this style of rally seems a little intimidating, join us as a volunteer CP worker, you'll get to drive a lot of the same roads, without such an intense time requirement, although it does involve leap-frogging the field to set up checkpoints ahead of the competitors arrival.

There's nothing to see at a TSD rally... don't "spectate," just run in it!! I would if I were a left coaster...

edit - if you don't want to run in it, try working as a time control!

One more thing, we need to limit entries to the first 30 teams that sign up, so be sure to get your registration in soon- before the grid fills up!
