OUCH.
I've spent quite a bit on my RST, but not as much as you. I've been running over 40,000 km in 2 years with out much major problems so far.

I think you shoulda just bought a 1990 Camry instead... $1200 got me an car that was already turbo'd. (of course, I'm not mentioning the $3-5k I'm gonna drop into it before it really runs well... )

Anyone tabulating reciepts on their projects has missed the point entirely. If you get a smile on your face everytime you turn the key... that's worth any amount of money.

Exactly. I have a full tabulation of the costs from my daily driver (gas, repairs, maintenance, mods)... But I promptly throw out all receipts for money I spend on the Camry...

word, don't think about it. Its hard when your car isn't running and you keep spending money, but it'll be worthe the time/money when it a good plan falls into place. I mean, my car has been in my garage more the past year than i have drove it

yea, all this talk is making me nervous. But I am getting a complete kit and the people who developed the kit are installing and tuning it. So hopefully I will be ok. If something breaks, I have no more $ and it's my only car, lol.
