Default Anyone ever buy a pre-painted spoiler from transformspoilers.com (also sells on ebay)

Im thinking about ordering an STi 8 spoiler from these guys and they offer painting for $159. They also sell on ebay under S.I.R. spoilers or something like that. Normally I would not even think about having it come prepainted but when I moved I lefted behind a great body shop and now in this town I have yet to find a reputable shop. They have some good feedback on ebay about the quality of there paint work and the color match. I asked them about there paint process and they apply 3 coats of base color, 3 clear coats, and a wet sand. The 3 coats business sounds a little thin to me. But as I think more about it the shops around here want close to $250-300 to paint that wing, and I also do not know much of the quality of there work either.

No one eh. Is there any other sites that sell pre-painted spoilers?

i personally dealt with S.I.R. spoilers but i did not order my v6 wing pre painted. one issue i had though, wich most replica v6 wings ive seen have, is a little bit of an overbite on the right side of the wing where the top deck and lower deck meet. the wing you are gonna get from transforspoilers.com is probably not going to be genuine, its probably replica unless otherwise stated, and fitment and quiality issues on replica stuff is quite common.
sorry i didnt answer your question but i thought i would add my feedback. if the feedback seems to generally lean to them doing a nice job painting, i say go for it. 159 is a good deal IMO.

btw, i got the spoiler for a great price (278 shipped) and painted for cheap at a local shop, they did spoiler and skirts for 300.

I would not get a spoiler if your car is more than a couple of years old..paint fading will be a problem and a non color matched spoiler would stick out baaad

Thanks for the heads up. I have delt with a couple replica spoilers in the past for my integra, Type-R & a 3-piece mid wing. The thing that bugged me about my Type-R wing was that it had some slight wavvy-ness to it going across. It was not totally smooth, not noticable to anyone else but me of course. I know this is a common problem with replica wings and was wondering if SIR's wings where like that as well. My 3-piece was wings west and that thing was perfect. Fit & finish was OEM quality.

my replica is also wavy. im pretty sure its not the paint job because i got the side skirts painted and they look perfect, just the spoiler is a little wavy in texture. can only notice from lose up though.
