Default checked out 2005 sti today

docksteaders got one in if you haven't seen em yet. I didn't like the new center console/dash when I saw pics, but it looks super nice in person. Like the new steering wheel better than the 2004 grey sti wheel....brembos are HUGE

Did the STi in Japan get the same remodel treatment as the 05 did here in Canada?

I had a look at the 05 WRX /STI today at specialty , they both look very nice in black. I also saw the 05 legacy sedan, there was no GT there yet , but the 250 HP GT is going to be really nice ,it's also about the same price as the WRX too.... that would be a tough decision

Got to ride in another member's 05 Sti this past weekend. Steering wheel's really nice, plus the the center console and controls looks nicer and more user friendly. The ride was super solid. I was able to use the rear cupholders too!

Got lotsa looks as we drove around in the sunshine on Sunday.

Still, sucks to see the RS go man.

Ok, got a question, is the 05 STi uses 5x114.3 bolt pattern rims?
The 05 WRX still uses the 02+ rims?

Don't know about the 05 WRX's using 02 wheels or not but the bolt pattern for the STi is now 5x114.3.

The 05 RS use 02+ RS/WRX rims. 05 WRX uses some sorta rims that Legacy used to have in 16", gunmetal like color.

SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just saw an '05 STi..silver...very nice.

Not too sure on the new "red" color of the STi badges...a little too red for my liking.

The wheels look ALOT better than the '04s do ....guess I'll have to buy a set for auto-x'ing!

The new center dash would take a little time to get used to, but it is a drastic change from the '04s.

The 2 cup holders...eh...they fly out the first time I took a hard launch or a wicked fast turn....

but all in all, a very nice update.

Good luck with that.... since they're a different bolt pattern than the '04s.

17x8 5x114.3? the center of the wheel is noticably larger... not sure how to explain it but the spokes appear shorter and spaced a little differently.
