Question Opinions on Quickshifts

From my interpretation of the SPD article on the RS gearbox, it seems that installing quickshifts (w/o light flywheel) would make it that much harder to change gears. What is your experience on quickshifts?

Thanks.

I've got a Kartboy shifter and Cucsco bushing set and it shifts like a dream - even at lightning-fast speed shifts.

I love my SYMS short shifter from SPO. No problems with quick shifting.

I've had the WRX short shifter for the last 12 months. It's very similar to the 22b shift in throw from 1-2 and 3-4 but not from 2-3. The 22b is nearly a straight line from 2-3,

Harder to change gears.. No way

I guess is depends on your opinion of "harder". I've got the Kartboy shifter, and it takes a tiny bit more physical effort to shift, but this is offset by shortness of the throw. So, overall I think it's a wash as to how "hard" it is to shift. But believe me, shortening the throw gives you a lot more confidence and just feels right. I highly recommend it.
