Question Kumho V712s anyone?

I'm running Pirelli P7000 Supersports right now which are great all-around tires but definately could be better for autocross (STS class). I'm thinking of upgrading for summer and the rest of race season so my P7000's will be good next winter still.

Anyone tried the new Kumho? They claim it is comparable to the S-02, SP9000, and Pilot SX. They are way cheaper than any other uhp tire but are they worth it or is it best to play it safe and get some MXX3's or S-02s.

Tim

This is a good thread of discussion on the 712's
http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/Foru...ML/001729.html

I have had them on the car for almost three weeks now and very happy with them.

I finally got to drive them in the rain too, the best rain tire I have owned. (former dunlop owner)

If you decide to go with expensive tires do either the Pilot SX or the Yoko AVS Sport.

See my comparison in "tire question?" a while back between the two.

Can't say anything about the Kuhmo's I haven't driven them, but I have a set of Victoracer's for my Porsche. Been happy with those.
