Default Cold air intake? Anyone got one?

I was thinking since I am 15 and it would take me till about next year to buy an AVO turbo (or enoguh to trade in) I was wondering if anyone has a cold air intake. If you can get some pics. Thinking about making one with a k&N filter on it. How is the power difference? I almost got hit today pulling into a busy intersection (too used to my dads corolla sport)

I've got a K&N Performance Air Filter in my manual '03. Some increase in power but don't expect to much. It is nice not having to buy replacement filters ever again. You notice the filter more when you press down hard on the gas. Since the engine has more air than with a paper filter that's where the extra power kicks in. You can hear it as well. When driving normally you hardly notice it's there. Not much difference in gas mileage but I added a snugtop at the same time.

I got mine from ideal automotive in Tampa for $60 w/Shipping. I have seen it on line for much less. Check some of the links in some of thes posts and I'm sure you can find it for about $20 less.
K&N Part number 33-2154
The thing I like most about the drop in is that it won't void your warrenty.

Hey, Braveit! Where in Florida? My office is right down the street from Ideal.

I know this might be a breech of some sort, but let me know next time you need something like that; I have an account with Ideal's supplier, and probably could've helped you out, one Baja owner to another......

I don't work for them and they don't advertise on this sight so I don't think it's any kind of breech. I live in Jacksonville but I visit my mother in Tampa. I also have to teach a training class thata week at ucf so i was in town. I wonder if Ideal has a way to get a bull bar. Got to call them when I get back from vacation. (going to the Bahamas tomorrow!
