Default H6 Rotor Upgrade and Auto-X

I just did the rear H6 rotor upgrade on my 02 WRX. Before I think I was already in ESP, does anyone know what this does to my class? Oh, and does anyone know where upgraded steering rack bushings put you?

What else do you have done to your car? With just those mods on street tires you would be in STX.

The steering rack bushings push you all the way to SM.

You sure that TINY bit of steering response is worth being in SM for?

SM huh? Oh well, it looks like I'll only get to Auto-x about 4x this summer anyway, I've more built the car up for whats fun/comfortable for me to drive around and commute with. If I'm in SM then I won't feel so bad doing the STI RA gearset, since that would bump me there anyway.

BTW for future searchers, what does the H6 upgrade do to the class?

Sorta.
There is currently a PROPOSAL in the current Fastrak (Link ):

ITEM 6) Effective 1/1/2005, add to
14.11.A.8: "Brake backing plates (dust
shields) plates may be modified the minimum
amount necessary to accommodate
allowed alternate rotors and calipers."

If the proposal clears, then they'd be legal for '05. Right now, a H6 rear upgrade would not withstand a protest.

Not necessarily. The STAC has submitted the dust shield proposal, based on inquiries from a number of members, and less than total agreement about the legality of removing dust shields for legal big brake upgrades. Everyone's pretty much in agreement that the rules' lack of mentioning the dust shields was an oversight. I've personally gotten different answers from different STAC members. For this year, a protest would likely be a 50/50 proposition.
