What's wrong w/ JE? They have been around for a long time. Would I be better off getting 9:1 compresion forged alluminum pistons from another company?

JE pistons are not very good quality, not much better than stock.

No. No USDM Subaru has brought forged pistons.

I got mine made by Ross Racing. http://www.rosspistons.com

Yes. They were .020 oversized. I paid about $560 for them, with Total Seal Rings (NOT the gapless ones). My comp. ratio is about 7.9:1.
