The owner calls this an 87 RX Shark?
Anyone had experience with this? ![]()

What kind of experience? I own one. But I don't know about the whole shark thing. Maybee it is a nickname for the coupe bodystyle.

Never heard it referred to as a shark, it's just an RX. It has the EA82T motor just like a GL/XT Turbo, it just has a body kit and a reputation for being quite rare

Including Full Time 4WD Dual Range 5 speed with Diff Lock, Rear LSD and stiffer springs and shocks, just to hit the high points. Great little car, big bang for the buck, and very fun to drive. I'd say its 3ed in line for '80s performance Subs after the XT6 and XT Turbo.Gary |

If you search long and wide, you can find a Fulltime 4WD XT Turbo with diff lock, but I agree that the RX does have a jewel of an LSD in the back...

the special thimng about the RX tranny is its Fulltime 4WD Dual range with diff lock, the LSD came in SOME turbo wagons, SOME XTs, and was an option on just about every car, but nobody really ever got it. the real jewel to find is the 3.9 LSD cuz there rare

I've heard it called a humpback whale before
But this is the "Rarest" RX there is. It was only made in black for the last 6 months of 1989. Its missing the side and rear skirts, not sure if it came with them or were removed. Oh, and another tidbit. The US RX is actually the JDM RXII.![]() |

I thought Subaru's were for all ages. Punk You are right about the first RX, and I should have mentioned it also. The 83/84 Turbo coupe was the first RX (JDM) |
