Default TD05-16G and TD05-20G

Can someone explain me the difference between de 16G and 20G versions of the TD05 turbocharger? And what are the advantages or disadvantages?

I didn't know that the 20G came in a TD05, I thought that it was a TD06.

The 16G can be thought of as slightly bigger than a VF22. The 20G is vastly larger.

TD05 and TD06 refer to the turbine wheel, (AKA exhaust wheel.) The 16G, 18G or 20G refer to the compressor wheel.

Here are some pics for comparison:

TD06 versus TD05 turbines: The TD06 is larger, therefore able to support more HP at slightly slower spoolup.

16G wheel, 20G wheel, and custom Garret Superzilla wheel:

deadbolt, do you have a 14b vs 16G photo?

also, do you know the difference between a "small" 16g and "big" 16g (in the dsm world at least) is it just the size of the housing?

thanks
