Post Is there a Bentley manual for SUBARU?

I have some experience tweeking with Volkswagens, and I can say that a lot was learned through experience. But I must say that having the Bentley manual for Volkswagens helped a whole lot.

Is there such a thing for SUBARUs? Perhaps something simmilar? Or maybe a dealer-repairs manual, and can that be obtained somewhere?

Thanx you guys...

I've written Bentley about it and they said that they don't have and have no plans for a Subaru manual, let alone one specifically for the 2.5RS. I used to use one with my old Volvo and I agree, it was fabulous.

I think the best you can do is the dealer manuals, though they'll cost you some good cash ($300 or so) for a set.

Yikes!... 300 BUCKS! that's steep.... but is that for a set for all SUBARU models? .... anyway.... where could they be purchased? Maybe they could sell only the specific book to 2.5RSs ....

Dunno... may be worth it...

oh-oh... I'm thinking something evil... can anyone guess what that is????

Anyway, later

Go have a look at www.rb.com

That's their site.

Nothing at all about Subaru. I had a short stint there coding some of the Electronic Version for the Tech Manuals and Parts Stuff for Audi and VW about 4 to 5 years ago and talked many times about AWD and Turbos (I had my Talon then) with some of the editors.

Whatever they do, they have some of the best resources available as far as people know and they all know their stuff.

They mostly specialize in Bavarian Performance tho...VW, Audi and BMW.

Actually I think the $300 is for just the Impreza models. It is 8 volumes IIRC, and altogether piled stands about 8" high (thick).

I haven't gotten a good look at them but I have heard they were pretty good.
