Post Turbo Legacy - RS piping

1) Would the exhaust from a turbo legacy fit on an RS?

2) what is the pipe diameter of a stock turbo legacy exhaust?

3) would the headers from a turbo legacy fit an RS motor?

In case you can't figure out where I'm going with this:
If the exhaust from a Turbo legacy is 2.25", it would make a nice (and cheap) performance exhaust for an RS.

thanks in advance,
g

1) Would the exhaust from a turbo legacy fit on an RS? No. Not without some changes. The Turbo Legacy center pipe has a cat in it. The flange for the bolts are not going to match either. Have the cat cut out (This does not break any EPA laws because you still have your cats in your y-pipe) and a small section of pipe put in with the flange off your RS center pipe. When you have the small section of pipe made you need to allow for the Legacy pipe being a little longer than the stock RS pipe.
2) what is the pipe diameter of a stock turbo legacy exhaust? 2.5"
3) would the headers from a turbo legacy fit an RS motor? The only part I have not tried yet.

The Reason I know all this I just added the Turbo Legacy center pipe and muffler to my 95 Legacy project car. It is the best factory cat-back you can buy. Low noise, opens up the exhaust to 2.5" and has a dual tip. I have not G-tech it yet but I do feel more top end.

If I can help you out with any details feel free to give me a call. It is hard to find time to post all the changes I have made to my Legacy and Impreza.
