Question Anybody want my Turbo wheels?

I don't like the gunmetal wheels that came with my Turbo. I'll let 'em go cheap if anybody want them. Anybody got any suggestions as to aftermarket wheels?

John

Uh, tempting. My Ministry of Finance probably veto it, but how much are you asking? Is the shipping to Denver astronomical?

Default $100 each? $150 with new OEM tires?

I'm guessing $15 without and $25 with tires. With 40% down I'll trust you for two more monthly payments at 20% each. What wheels came with your Turbo?

Default Will they fit a non Turbo?

Off-hand, do you know if the bolt pattern and back spacing is the same size for a non-turno '03 Baja sport? If they do and you still have 'em, please drop me a note or post here.

03 and 04 (5MT) have the same wheels. Color has been changed from silver to gun metal. I was thinking about getting a winter wheels, but well, my lady told me I didn't need them

Default Holycow, I still have 'em & they fit

I now realize that I should definitely sell the wheels with the tires so I can go to 17" rims. The OEM tires have 357 miles on 'em today. The bolt pattern is 5-100, same as 03 Baja. Same deal for any Baja poster.

How much do you want for these? $25 each with tire for a total of $100? If that's the price, then I'll take'em.

I'm in Raleigh and I find myself in the DC area quite often so I can pick'em up if that's fine with you. I have $ in paypal ready to be go. I'm in no rush, and can paypal you now and pick the wheels later, just want them before winter.

Thats a steal...

Considering that price...even if you have the same wheel, the rubber alone is worth the bundled price..

Whatta nice guy

When one replies to a post, it gets "bumped"
to the top of the thread list, giving it a better
chance of being noticed. Sometimes the org
poster will "bump" a message, and sometimes
someone else will do so. It is a way for it to
stay on top without a "real" reply.

Dont even think about it. Those are totally wrong offset. You dont want anything less than +48mm offset.

Those +40mm offsett wheels will be stick way out beyond th fenders, ruin your handling, and eventually your wheel bearings.

Plus you'll look like a mexi-mobile that got rims from pep boys.,

pffft and Samir76,

Thanks for the info and the bump! BTW, I called subaruxtras.com (which is really just a website for a subie dealer) and spoke to the parts manager who assured me the wheels would fit. Pffft!

I went blind lookin' at all the rims on the web and finally I went back to the first rims I liked, the 18" Kazera KZA rims with +48 mm offset and they work and look great. I'll post a pic soon!

Thanks again!

John

I agree with your reasoning, but these guys are very close to my house and give them a lot of trust. I mean i don't think they'd try to sell something without first trying it. But the 40+ offset does sound screwy. Belknap Subaru/ subaruxtras.com and Exeter Subaru/ subaruwrxparts.com are both in New Hampshire and are in direct competition with eachother when aftermarket parts are concerned. I'll call Subaruxtras.com and have a chat with them, see if we can get some pics of a Baja with those rims mounted up. They sponsor my favorite rally team LDR www.lastditchracing.net here in Maine, maybe they'll do me a favor.

John, glad you found something that fits and works and looks good.

You may trust them but that doesnt mean they cant be wrong

40 offset is way WAY wrong.

The message from SubaruXtras.com is that they found out they do not fit. They are looking into a different model/brand to carry.
