Scoobysport and center pipe
Has anyone added a larger diam. center pipe with a Scoobysport or similar muffler? Is this center pipe something which would have to be fabricated and welded at a muffler shop? There's nothing around which would just bolt on - right? Is the diam. wanted 2.25 inches? Is this a good idea. Thank you for any info. I guess there's also a resonator to consider also.

Anyone? I've read a lot of information about center pipes here. I'd just like to pin down some of the details.

yup,
got my scoobysport last night. here is the setup I have right now scoobysport muffler (2.5", 64mm pipe) Apexi resonated mid pipe (2.36", 60mm pipe) This morning I had the two welded together, the flanges didnt match up exactly, so I have a one piece exhaust now.... The scoobysport is nowhere near as loud as my previous muffler (A'pexi N1), I only have about 30 miles on it so far, and I can't tell much if at all of a performance difference. If you havent seen a scoobysport, it's by far the most industrial looking thing out there, with a shiny 3" tip tacked on. The 3" tip looks much cleaner on the car than the old 4"+ N1 tip ever did. I really like it, but if you want something shiny and pretty you won't like the scoobysport. Oh and the price is pretty outrageous, but it's gotta be bombproof by the looks of it. Ryan |
