Default Modified Legacies?

Anyone got pictures ?

Wondering what's been done. Anyone got improved suspension without lowering the car?

What you got?

A friend of mine just got a Legacy, looking for what he can do to it.

Thanks

Scroll down to near the bottom of the page for my car. Mostly suspension modifications, intake, headers and header back straight pipe for a little extra power.

There is also another thread...bling bling legacies or something.

It might be better to ask a more specific question, what kind of mods are you looking for?

Fair enough, lets start with suspension.

No one seems to have "Legacy" listed in their application list for struts.

We don't want to lower the car. My buddy, like me, wants to be able to drive in the dirt without dragging the belly, and since it seems that no one on the planet EVER upgrades the springs without lowering the car, we're looking for coil overs most likely.

Thanks for the help

I've got new seats and brakes...I'm guessing the seats add about 5 hp.

If he's driving in the dirt I would recommend DMS 50's. Go to http://www.dmsnorthamerica.com/ to find out what is available for your car. Also, what year is your buddies car?

I have been searching for a while now for essentially the same solution, same ride height but higher spring rates. It has eluded me so far.

The Legacys have low spring rates with a ton of pre-load. Impreza springs have higher rates but little pre-load. We need a long medium rate spring. I havent found it yet.

Coilovers(especially the fully adjustable versions with threaded bases) seems to be the best but certainly expensive option.

I dont have pics, gonna have to take one day.

"I've done a handfull. I've put in an intake, got it ebay works real nice. Aftermarket ignition cables, light weight "under" pulley, 18mm rear sway bar and strut bar in front. Than a bunch of interior crap racing seats, nav system, sound system, LCD screen, neon lights.

I plan on doing a suspention swap this summer and put in KYBs also plan on getting the Greddy E management piggy back fuel computer.

I haven't touched the exhaust its the 2.5RS exhaust well "performance package" you can get (got it when we got the car late 98). Widens out to 3in than go further down its 2 in etc.. if you know what im talking about.

I like how the exhaust looks not to big and ricer like but I dont know if it would hurt swapping it out or make difference. Anyway"

You can get as wild as your pocket book will allow. I have everything an 04 sti does for engine and drivetrain, brakes and suspension. Well except the extra .5 liters of displacement and the crappy flowing heads .
Hopefully will be running by the end of this week and driving by next. Pics will follow when it's done.

I'm running on WRX KYB GR2 struts and 2001 2.5 RS springs. It's pretty low, but I can still get out of my driveway (which means it's not too low)

i have a 93 legacy wgn and i hacked off the old muffler and put a flowmaster on it but not sure if i should just straight pipe it and make things more simple. i also don't want some flashy tip on it, i want it to seem stock but not sound stock. any suggestions would be great. thanks.
