Post Super AFC LEDs (attn Shiv)

Hey shiv or anyone that knows...

i left the SCC that discussed the impreza with the super afc; intake; exhaust; etc. at school so im going to ask here.

i have a 2000 and im wanting to add the super afc. i dont think i will be able to get to a 4wd dyno, so i need to know the best way to tweak the settings on it.

i remember that you had an LED display that for the life of me i cannot remember who created...i need to know what product this is and if this is the best way to keep grips on the a/f ratio and the best way to realize what settings and adjustments i need.

thanks
matt

Wink

Swivel1000 -- don't have enuf patient to pick up yer mag at school tomorrow eh?

Anywayz, the LED display on Shiv's SCC project car is the timing retard display of his J&S Safeguard knock sensor, which of course is not an a/f ratio meter.

Anywayz, I believe that there is a way to hook up the Apex'i S-AFC so that one of the extra "feature" is a voltage reading from one of the O2 sensors. I believe there is a web site out there which describes how to do it. I've seen the site, but I have no idea where it is.

Hope this helps. Somebody who knows more than me will probably point you in the right direction regarding that web site!

I wish I had enuf money to start modding my car. Ahh, such are the wishes of a student!

LaterZ!
Darren!!

the BEST way is with an A/F meter. You can also use the AFC to monitor the O2 sensor voltage, at WOT. Do a search for "blue wire mod" or something like that.

I believe an even better way would be an egt gauge. Ideally you would put it in your car when it was stock, get some baselines, and go from there.
