Default Where should I look to move to?

We need a poll.

Thinking about these two areas to at least go look at. Give a reason as to why you picked it or throw another place like it at me.

Although a big shoe would be tempting, I had to choose Portland. Too much rain in Washington.

I love how Seattle and Porland both advertise the fact that Atlanta and NYC get more rain then them. Yeah that's like saying I can give my wife 15" of penile pleasure just like the porn studs, but it takes me giving it to her 4 times to do so.

It only rains a tiny bit every freakin day instead of huge rain during rainy seasons in Atlanta or NY.

I'd take a weekend trip to check out the scene, and see if its someplace you'd be interested in living...

You have a 3.75" penis

I voted Portland. I've never been there but I have to listen to my wife go on about how beautiful it is there and in Astoria. Are you going to transfer jobs or is your work such you can work from anywhere?

Move to Texas. Land and house prices are pretty cheap.

Yeah I can work out of the house if I don't live in the immediate area of my work. I want to stay someplace near the ocean or on the water like portland. Astoria would be sweet but a little on the small side. We are going to be visiting both areas for sure but just thought I would get some more opinions on each area.

We've been thinking about the floating homes in Portland. Those seem pretty sweet!

They are basically the same place, only what, 200 miles seperates them? I think it comes down to the laws of orygun and the laws of washington. I've been to both cities, seattle moreso. Seattle seems to have a lot more going on.

Potland is pretty sweet. I nearly moved there right out of school to work at a silicon fab, but ended up going into aerospace instead. Sometimes I wonder what it would have been like, as several friends have gone out there and everybody says that Oregon rox0rs.

Yeah - you live in Gresham, that's not portland!

Anyway Aaron - My wife and I just moved from portland, we lived there for the last 4 years. We loved portland - we would probably still live there if our families didn't both live up here. I would choose portland over seattle if I were you. Seattle is just too big and expensive - Portland is big enough, but has a small city feel.

The bar and restaurant scene is great - tons of good shows, good cheap and good expensive food.

There's less rain and more sun than seattle.

You can still buy a decent house near the center of town for a reasonable amount of money.

There's great beer and breweries.

Less traffic - unless you commute from beaverton/hillsboro or vancouver - screw that, live in the city.

You're about an hour to both the beach and the mountains.

Let me know if you have any more questions about PDX.
