Amsoil oil filter question
Does anyone know the P/N for the Amsoil Oil Filter? I tried searching through the forums as well as on the Amsoil website, with no avail. Any help would be appreciated.
This is for a MY00 2.5 Coupe.

S1992! Read on...
That is the # that has been posted before. We just had a similar thread on the general forum. Now, I just put in an Amsoil filter in my 98RS, the part # for 98 and 99 is TS74. Notice the difference... the "S" is for a single stage and the "TS" is for a two stage filter. I think that Amsoil claims better flow with the single stage, but I would guess worse filtering. I think that Amsoil is coming out with a TS for the 00 but I could be wrong. I ordered mine directly from Amsoil and I would recommend that. They should be able to answer any questions you have too. |

BoomerRS,
He said "Oil" filter, not "Air" filter. That was good information on the Air filters, though. Kastle, Sorry I don't know the Oil filter number , I just wanted to point out that the part numbers Boomer was giving was for Air, not Oil filters so there was no confusion. Aaron |

I knew that the air filter was S1992 from searching for the oil filter # yesterday.
Aaron As a complement, the information that you and Peaty have on your site is excellent. It's helped me alot. BTW, you ever meet up with other owners in town (I live in Peoria)? |

I didn't get any help tracking down an Amsoil filter when I went direct, so I went with Puralator instead(much cheaper).

There are two oil filters from amsoil that fit our cars...one is the SDF20 which is about the same size as stock and the other is SDF36 (the SDF20 I have on my car the "36" is from a failing memory, but it is the same diameter and 50% taller). The taller one is what I would reccommend, unless you have borla headers, which wrap around the oilfilter like a python on a pig.

ravent ==> Thanks for the information. Did you buy them from the Amsoil website or elsewhere? And, if you don't mind me asking, how much?
