Sure the new Legacy GT is a step-up for us, but damn those US auto import restrictions

...could have been fun. Perhaps if we beg, plead and promise to sell our souls they'll bring it over here eventually...

Wow... very nice. But, with those limited numbers, it really doesn't matter to us anyway. Not too many people would be able to buy one.

True...but it would have been nice of them to think of us!! I suppose the big reason to bring it to the US would be to see if they could create enough demand in the market for a line of them...they'd probably sell pretty well here given the enthusiast market for awd and power. Just a thought...

Subaru def. needs to expand its lineup. The demand is there, but the variety is thin.

Cabal: I'm not trying to start rumors that we are getting something, just pointing out a model we aren't getting and Subaru is producing in a limited number in Japan.

Maybe it is old news...but it was new to me...

I haven't yet heard of an STi version off the new Legacy platform yet.... so 1) It's the model we didn't get a few years ago and 2) Subaru is NOT producing this limited number yet becuase it doesn't exist.... yet.

They ARE building the Legacy STi line in Japan according to the article...but in a VERY limited production run...

You're not getting it... That article is over a year old! The S401 EXISTS on the OLD legacy platform. They already made 400 of them... a couple YEARS ago!

It's is the OLD Legacy.

There has been NO announcement on an STi for the Newly redesigned Legacy that was introduced in Japan last year, and is hitting these shores now.....

If the above doesn't sink in, contact 'shirokuma' via the PM function on this board. His name is Paul Hansen. He's the guy that wrote the article, and took the pictures and ask him.
