Default Just bought "Red Dawn" on DVD. Is it as good as they say?

It is so cheap to buy DVD's now that i don't even bother renting them. I just bought "Red Dawn" and am ashamed that I have never seen it. Is it as good as they say it is?

I tried to find Gleaming the Cube on DVD. Either can't find it or it's way overpriced. $150 bones? Damn.

I believe it was the first movie rated PG-13. I have probably seen it a couple of dozen times over the years.

that was the movie that made you just wish that the russians would start landing all over just so you and your buds could go loot the local hunting store and go nuts...

well, ok, maybe that was just me, but at that time, I think that I would have had to get my mom to drive us there...so that would have lost some of the cool factor..

at the time it came out, was a pretty good movie..

still watch it from time to time..

Ready to smash the communists, wipe them up, and shove them off the face of the earth...

Mash that dirty red scum, kick 'em in the teeth where it hurts.

Kill! Kill! Kill! The filthy bastard commies, I hate 'em! I hate 'em! Aaargh! Aaargh!
