Default 1st issue of Drive Performance mag anyone?

Just wanted to know if anyone got one in the mail. It has a very nice write up on the STi 6 speed. I liked the part near the end about drag racing. "The choice is yours. Drag racing any vehicle exposes a drivetrain to forces well beyond those of normal day-to-day driving. these types of failures are not a consideration of any manufacturer's warranty. Sorry." It also has a write up on ESX.. Some good reading for free...

I hope the magazine doesn't end up being anti-modification and racing fear tactics with talk of voided warranties.

What did you expect. They had to say that after they just said how strong and great the tranny was.

I wonder why Subaru doesn't simply make it available online at www.driveperformancesubaru.com.

I got two Saturday for some reason.

I noticed they said drag racing the car would void the warranty, but in the articles regarding auto crossing nothing was said. I found that interesting.

Well here it is. It's not the best but I tried. It is just too big for the flat bed.

I may be one of the last to get mine, but I got three. I guess Subaru wanted to make it up to me for making me wait longer. Didn't seem like there was much worth reading in it. Very general. Get more specific...

i scanned the thing closely for warranty void disclaimers and only the drag spot. so i think solo is good to go since most subarus see similar use every day on the street.

I got mine in the mail yesterday and read it last nite. Overall, I think its a solid start. Little tid bits like how to clear your ECU memory can be valuable for the general public(aka the people who don't hang out here). Hopefully there SPT program will continue to expand and grow. We can never expect subaru warrenty to cover everything but hopefully over time they can offer more "warrentable mods" like mopar, etc, etc.......
