Post Chicago Auto Show WRX pics added to the gallery

Everyone note that the Yellow in the pictures was taken under flourescent lighting. If it had been daylight or even normal incandescent lighting, it would have appeared much less washed out.

Thanks to Imprezer! I'm sure my server would get the crap pounded out of it for the size of the pics.

It's weird that they list the wing as a $357 option on the Blaze Yellow show car. I thought it was free? Oh well...

Jordan - WR Blue no wing

I thought the rear seatbelt housing was weird compared to the Japanese version. Now I understand that it's hight adjustable. Nice touch.

I thank you very much for the VIN# pic, maybe I could get a clean estimate from my insurance company now.

Some of those pics probably got you some really weird looks from the people around you.

There are 2 more vin pics in the Detroit WRX gallery. The black one is for the wagon and the blue one is for the sedan.

Grrr...still no US black saloon REX...Say are those gold Subaru letters on the RS? And does anyone know the MPG of the RS? That right there might would make the RS a better choice for me.

Flourecent lighting or not, I was hoping for a less creamy yellow. I like the yellow on Ferraris and Corvettes so much better... it's "stronger" anmd "racier."

Great pics though, thanks

Nice pics thanks 8! Looks like SOA had a nice display with the WRC car and all. I guess the Pittsburgh Auto show I'll be going to on saturday will be jipped again. Soa has promised us a WRX though. I'm taking my ELPH. If I get any good, new, different, and exciting pics can I post them up here too Imprezer?

Sorry about not getting the green wagon in pics... I ran out of disks for my camera. I'll see if I can get some shots of it when/if I go back again.

And noone really gave me odd looks because there were so few people there. I took all the pics and the nearest people were 50' away.

Are those 225/55-17 on the WRC Car? Those are the street tires, correct? I am assuming that because they are P-Zeros. What size and tire do they use when rallying? I know that the size sometime varies based on whether they are on snow, dirt, or gravel. I have called OZ regarding those Prodrives and they don't have them in Gold...and body know if they are making them later? If not, what is the Pantone color so I can paint them?

Cool

Wow! They throw in the chrome air valves for FREE when you pay $3000 for the wheels without tires.

The tires on the WRC car are 225/650/18. The 650 stands for overall diameter I think which would translate into about a 43 series if there were such a thing. Those are the same size the use on tarmac rallies. The wheels are magnesium alloy and are probably very expensive. The 18" Prodrive P1's are a fairly close match in terms of looks. That's what I ordered for my WRC Blue WRX.
