Impreza WRX STi alright - who's the STI???

I'm being haunted by visions of blue STIs...

Actually I am seeing them. I've seen three blue STIs in the last week.

1. Riverbend - 02/03 model of STI - had a custom plate
2. Calgary Trail Olive Garden - 04 STI - behind the building
3. down 34th turning into Rally - 04 STI - waved at

Any of these sweet sweet cars belong to any of you???

Anyone wanna take me for a ride in an STI???

Cool

That was me tcam33 (05 WRB STI) and my co-worker bwrex (04 silver WRX) in the pass seat. We were going to rally to pick up some parts. We were talking about a meeting of Suby owners just as you passed, I'll give rides once she's broken in (only 300km now) wouldn't be worth it to see me shift at 4500rpm!

well nice to meet ya!

I saw bwrex point out my car - so I figured I'd give ya a lil wave...

I want a ride so bad since I've heard so many good things about the STI. Even car and driver couldn't get over it.

Did you get your blue one from Cheryl at Subaru City?

Nah, just a small community.

tcam33: How was your experience with S. City? Any confusion over price, etc?

A little confusion to be honest. They quoted me a price based on the 04 model but according to them they didn't have the 05 price yet (it went up $1000). I was pretty mad at the time but "they can sell this car to a long list of people" So I swallowed my pride and paid the ante. In the end the dealership is more than friendly and a good friend of mine is a mechanic there so I feel comfortable with the after sales care I should receive. I am still debating about telling my side of the story to Subaru via the satisfaction survey but that may be a waste of time. On the surface the car is way overpriced but after you drive one all the bad thoughts go away. I am serious when I say that it's my happy place

Welcome aboard tcam33!!!! Always a pleasure meeint new Subaru owners and enthusiasts.

More than a fair share of us have had similar "unhappy" selling experiences at Subaru City. I will not ever buy there again.

Cheers,
MB

The wierd part is the difference in people opinions between Rally and Subaru City. The are owned by the same folks. If you do pop into Subaru City talk to Scotty he seems straight up.

Got my WRX from Subaru City 10 weeks ago and they were very accommodating.

I think that may have been my STi behind the Olive Garden last week, with anthricite BBS wheels. I'll be happy to take you for a rip sometime.
I wanted to order my STi from Subaru City, but they really didn't want my buisness. I stopped by Rally Subaru, bought a 2002 wrx and ordered my 04STi at the same time. They were great to deal with. more importantly, the service dept. is second to none...very easy to deal with and always helpful.

whoops.

Yay I got hit with the same $1k increase, and I was really pissed. I got them down to a $900 increase and they cut the pro pack in 1/2.

Although they aren' t making any money off me. My exhaust took a nasty ding at some point so they have to replace it for me

I think someone in service got a new body part torn by a manager.

All said I got the car I wanted and my sales guy (Tom) was awesome. I really felt he was working for me.
