Rear Window problem

I've got a problem with my rear window on my '03 Baja, and was just wondering else if anyone else has experienced the same thing. I've got these streaks from top to bottom..it looks like scratches but it isn't. They seem to develop at the joint where the plastic pieces meet at the top. It won't come off..I've tried to clean it. It may be some kind of compound to hold the joints together that leaked or something..really weird. Anyone else have this problem? I guess a trip to the service dept. is in order!

Its most likely something to do with the alignment of the pane.

There are little felt pads on either side of the glass inside the door. I think they are called glass stablizers because they keep the glass from rattling alot when you close the door with the windo half open. If either pad gets grit imbedded into it, it will streak/scratch the glass, semi-common among Subarus. But, I'm not sure if this is what you are trying to describe.

Have your dealer service take a look. They might have seen it before and know what to do.
