Default 2005 STi offset question

With the new 5x114.3 offset and 8" wide wheel stock on the new 05 STi, what offset can I run with aftermarket wheels? Can I run an 18x8 with a +37 offset?

37 is probably a little low. Posting in the Tire&Wheel forum would get you better responses.

37 is pretty low and will most likely end up rubbing.
By going with 18's you can probably get a higher offset tha you would with 17's.
You want to be as close to the factory 53 offset as you can. Your bearings will thank you.

55 -37= 18mm or ~3/4 of an inch ...it might rub depends heavely on what tire you use..but will definatly be hard on your wheel bearings
