My friend bought this and was wondering what kind of turbo is this?
JDM SUBARU IMPREZA WRX STi RHF5H TWIN SCROLL TURBO GDB

Will this turbo fit on a 02/03 wrx without any major modifications?

well its a twin scroll input, so it will at least need twin scroll specific headers, i'm not sure which of the jdm sti's came with them, but you should be able to get one somewhere. or just custom headers made. he will also need a flange that will bolt up to that compressor inlet.

Twin scroll so its a vf38,36,37.... the 37 and 36 are the same size only the 36 is ball bearing. The 38... well thats a freak turbo, does anyone know anything about it. Last I looked there wasnt anything about it anywhere.

This turbo wont fit on a wrx with out, a ver 8 exhaust manifold, up-pipe, down-pipe, oil pan, oil pick up,... what did I forget? Other then the basics injectors, pump, tune...

Edit: they also show a 2nd turbo on that page... one with a very strange hot side.

I would be very interested in seeing a compressor map for the VF-38... *calls on 8-complex and his data packrat abilities*
