It is MUCH-MUCH cheaper to cut your own filters out of a larger home HVAC filter

the box said charcol... but it looked plain type paper to me.

I wished they moved the box closer to the driverside...

On my 2.5 TS... the support brace is in the way and requires me to bend/squish the filter to get it in.....


having made my first filter with a stiff cardboard frame, it was not fun..

It's made of synthetic fiber with some sort of viscous liquid applied to increase particle capture.

Note: a power screwdriver with a long and/or flexible shaft makes installing/removing all those screws a LOT easier and faster.

I've been making mine from HVAC filters for years now. average cost per filter is like $3.

....the issue isn't which 'had' it.....i believe MOST have the slot for one to be installed
