What up east coast autocrossers? I'm Doug. I'm from Detroit. (Yeah, Detroit! What?!?!)

So I'm flying down to College Park, MD next wednesday to take some vacation time, hang out with my buddy, pound some beers at The Bottom Line in D.C., eat tons of Chipotle, and generally just lay back and relax for a few days.

I was looking at the Philly Area autocross scedule for the hell of it and I saw that there is an autocross going on the saturday that I'm going to be there. Sweet. Unfortunately I called my friend that I'm going to be staying with and his car probably isn't up to the rigors of an autocross (he thinks a ball joint might be on it's way out). His sister has a neon but it's probably not feasable to borrow it to smack cones. I looked into renting a car for the day to run but everything is just way too expensive (like $90).

So it looks like no Philly autocross action for me. Unless of course there's some sexy subaru-driving lady that's running in a Ladies class and wants to let us two-driver her car in the corresponding non-Ladies class. If so let me know. (I know it's a long shot, but I thought I would ask. The lady doesn't even really have to be sexy. But if she let us run her car along with her she would be sexy on the inside. That's what really counts.)

All of my best laid plans have now gone to waste. That's just the way it is, though, living in The D.

Take it easy, east coast.

One,
Doug

ATTENTION SEXY SUBARU DRIVING LADIES!!!

My plans to be on the east coast this weekend have very unfortunately been changed. Due to this I will not be able to attend the aforementioned autocross event. This does however render irrelevant all of the arguments as to which of you I will be codriving with. Thank you for all of the offers and pictures that you've sent in order to curry my favor. I've got lots of love for all of you.

Also, Pgh is about 4 hours from Philly or College Park so this is probably the wrong thread if you were looking to meet up with people in Philly. And I haven't seen many sexy suby driving ladies around, let alone ones that meet up with random strangers from out of town to let them autox their car.

Sorry hoss.

Yeah. What the hell was that?? Philly, Pittsburg. It's all the same to me, I guess. This is what happens when I wander out of the MidWest forum. Sorry east-coasters!

I might make it to an auto-x for once this weekend. I haven't been to one in like a year I used to actually be good at it too, hopefully I remember how to drive

How much are the events this weekend? I know they jacked the prices up this year

or I might just go to midohio and watch the alms race

Only 30 people can register for test and tune compared to the usual 100 that show for auto-x... so to start there are a third less cars. In addition to that there is no staging. You get in line whenever you want. So if you keep getting back in line you can get in like 20+ runs. But if you are tweaking your car you get less.

I think I'm going to play with tire pressures tomorrow and see what I like. I don't think I've ever really checked my hot pressure. From what I've been reading most people are running mid-high 40's hot pressure. I also might go get my alignment tonight, the only downside is I'm driving down to DC next weekend...soooo I might wait till after that. Haven't decided yet
