Default Waterspray Kits!

Keep your intercooler cool!
In recent tests on mildly modded stock STi's, the intercooler temps went from ambient (85 F) to HOT (205 F) in one pull on the dyno. Modded WRX's with stock TMIC will be even worse. Give your Subaru a chance to maintain power with one of the best (and affordable) waterspray DIY kits on the market!
The Quantum Racing Water Spray Kit includes four high pressure plastic and brass nozzles, hose, tees, wire ties, fittings, etc. as well as a high pressure pump (better than windshield washer or STi pumps) and wiring with a SPST switch. You can use the kit with a UTEC or other piggyback output (including S.E.C.S.) by controlling it with a 30 Amp relay ($10 at electrical parts stores like Radio Shack). This system sprays at a tested 40+ psi to blow away the DIY mister / windshield washer systems. It taps into the bottom of your windshield washer bottle (or you can get a different reservoir if you like) without trying to pull through the wiper pump, etc.
The QR Spray System includes a quad nozzle setup to work with our proven splitter system or some other brands. It bolts onto your splitter plate for ease of installation.

Price is $125 plus shipping.
Please specify color for the silicon hoses; we stock black, red and blue.
Installation directions are available on our website with color photos under the "Technical Documents" section from the main page.

No problem.
That would be the SECS S1001 LCD monitor which fits into a single DIN slot and utilizes a MilSpec LCD. Price is $549 including shipping to anywhere in the USA.

Will this work on a stock WRX splitter?

Also is it possible to swap out the included switch for an STI one for an added fee?

Please PM me with price.

Thanks

I believe it does fit on the various STi splitters; it uses the two clip holes on each end of the splitter plate (where the rubber shroud clips on) for the bolt pattern.
The switch included is an SPST switch; ie., a regular Single Pole Single Throw switch.

We don't sell the STi spray switches; much of the logic for those is in the actual ECU. I've heard of people doing that but don't have those as an option. We can drop $5 for a no switch option.

They do work absolutely on the WRX splitter plate; that is what they were designed for. The Quantum Splitter is a piece designed to be added to the stock splitter plate. Both it and the QR Spray Kit can be used concurrently.

Why didn't you test the water spray kit when you perfomed the tests stated above? I'd love to know the ambient temps after a pull with the water spray going.

Well, a customer scheduled a dyno run; I didn't want to try to change his results. The hoods are up when we dyno; we could run the waterspray but the car has to run and make power without it. The stock spray system isn't going to be able to hold the temps down with repeated pulls.

How are we supposed to go about ordering one of these waterspray kits? I can't find it on your site. I found another kit, but it was $289. I can't find your splitter for the WRX either...

I have a replica of the Zerosports splitter (GTSpec) which has 3 dividers. Is it possible to modify this so it will take 4 nozzles, or do you make one with 6 nozzles? Also, do you ship to Canada? Thanks.

The nozzles are rather large in diameter; I don't think you could squeeze six in there. That would be a lot of mist. I believe a few enterprising customers have made the nozzles fit by putting the holes to mount them through up a little higher so they are somewhat in the scoop instead of just down below it.
I do ship to Canada; and yes, I do ship by USPS.

It usually takes an enthusiast 2.5 hours or so realistically for the basic setup.

Hmm, IIRC, there is no difference as far as the spray kit is concerned; as long as you have the two holes on each end of the splitter plate where the rubber shroud snaps in, it will still attach, etc.
