i broke a CV

it totally sucked, i was on the way to the store to get some oil, and as i was running a stop sign, turning and revving the engine way hard and my CV just snapped off at the wheel end, i just replaced this thing like a month or so ago, oh well at least i get a new one for free, and the tow only cost me 20 bucks.

Bummer.. if its 4wd, you just put it in 4wd and drive home (gently).. no towing bill then

well after further inspection i found out that the CV was working, but the hub that it goes into on the wheel end of the CV had its splines stripped out(bummer), so if anyone in the portland vancouver area has the hub for a 1985 subaru GL front wheel drive only, and doesnt need it, i do.

the hub from any EA82 L series car will work. 2WD or 4WD, Turbo or nonturbo. 85-94.

Go over to www.ultimatesubaru.net , register and post a want ad in the marketplace.. I bet in less than 24 hours you will find someone local (between seattle and portland) that can hook you up for cheap. I'll see if I can get ahold of Mark in Olympia..I'm sure he has one.

fixed it, i got one from a local bone yard, i think it was off a 90 loyale, anyway it works im happy.
