Yeah, that's about right.

Hmm that's next Wednesday - Saturday eh? Saturday works best for me ... can we meet somewhere in between Sacramento and the rest of the Bay Area? Or maybe it's time to finally make that pilgrimage to the Subaru junk yard.

Joel, do you know their hours? Silly question, let me rephrase. Joel, what are their hours?

As if I know loads of people...

Anyway I don't know of anything, but then again I don't follow the other series to close... Best bet, just take a look on base... McClellan has been relocated back over to the asphault (sp?) off of the concrete... Some crazy crap about the land has been sold and we can't use it any more...

Hey how about we meet up and head to the Recycler? It looks like I will be driving up Thursday night and leaving Monday afternoon.
I guess Joel doesn't want to arm wrestle for a beer.

Hello,

First, the recycler's info is:
Subaru & Suzuki Auto Recycling
3561 Recycle Road
Rancho Cordova, CA 95742 www.subarusuzukikiaparts.com
800.638.5773 toll free
916.638.5773 phone

Since the webpage is down, I dont know the hours, Joe I think it's like 10-2 or something like that on Saturday. Hours suck. However, since they may have moved (haven't been by or called in a while), I can't say anything more specific.

You guys are talking about next weekend, right? I don't think I can make it out to Sac since I'm appartment shopping and working on my car

I never heard of Weiner Works. My suggestion is "Poor Red's" in the small town of El Dorado (South of Placerville on Hwy 49). Good food and drink. I know some good roads between there and the Subie recycler in Rancho Cordova. Those same roads are where I test drove my Subie before purchasing from Shingle Springs Subaru. Hey, we could stop there, too. Just some ideas...

Hey needmorespeed since your local to the recycler try and get a hold of them since I can't seem to get them to answer the phone and see if those hours for Saturday are correct. If so how does meeting there for some part searching fun and then heading off into the Eldorado hills in search of some decent roads? We can then go grab something to eat/drink and procede back home.
So sound like a plan?

Some friends of mine just bought Legacy's and were looking for some more ppl to do a subie drive out of Sac. We would like to join. I have been meaning to hit the recycle place and find an intake from a legacy to bypass the big black box on my RS.

Saturday seems to be the day my main concern is I gotta make it to my dad's sometime that night as it is his B-day. I say we go for the recycler in the morning and do some driving in the early/mid afternoon. I am only up for 4 days and also need to meet up with Alex concerning a few things on something we are trying to acomplish (Oh and Angus I still need to do that letter for Alex to send to HKS/Apex'i/Greddy for track day Sheeeeeittt I am running late). If the recycler is open the hours Joel said (come on Joel it's only part of the day and we still have to compete in something LOL) and maybe the go-kart place afterwords depending on the length of time it takes to get there. I need to be back in the Sac area before 4 for going to my dad's.

No clue, I'll have my son (my week... and even if it wasn't I'd have him on Sat.(Ex has to visit her BF in Yuba Cnty JAIL!)) Anyway Last weekend I went up to Foresthill and went f'ing off on the off road trails... I suppose we could get three or four of us up there with a couple CB's and block of a section to fly on a dirt road???

Ahh hell who knows, what about a mini-meet with some of the bay guys, say Vacaville area???

Anyone know of a small area we might be able to get a small auto/rally-x setup and f`off at???

I would love to say Q-Zar (laser tag) in Vacaville if it was still there but I have the bum knee. I am all for the go-karting though and maybe some driving.

Thumbs down

BAD NEWS...

I went over to the recycler... Here is what I found...

1) Web-page is right, www.subarusuzukikiaparts.com . BUT they have no clue it's even down...

2) 800-638-5773 / 916-638-5773 are their only two numbers save the fax line, 916-638-4715

3) There is no point in going as they are mid-move. They have no cars at their location, and no access to the new location...

4) We might almost be better off just meeting somewhere worth driving and havng fun there...

Q-ZAR!! You gotta take a rain check Rich, it would be great to do that again. Like paintball without the welts.

Looks like we're going karting then? Just as my bruises were healing, hehe. Pick a time and I'll meet you folks at the track.

As for other forms of driving, yesterday was my birthday ... realized I am getting too old to be doing stupid things on the street. Especially after those 100mph+ bursts during the last caravan. Then again maybe a turbo will change that, hehe.

Q-Zar is expensive, but fun. I used to be the master at it. (I knew the previous owner of the redwood city location) If anyone wants to go there, let me know
