Default WRX wheels and tires on 98' Legacy

I got a 98' Legacy L 5spd today and I'm hoping to swap out the wheels and tires on it. Right now it has 3 worn Nokia NRW's and 1 dunlop in 185/70/r14 on the stock steel wheels. Obviously these have to go, so I've been looking around for some replacements. I noticed alot of WRX rim and tire combos on ebay in 205/55/r16 with the stock RE92's going for cheap (around $400), would these fit without issue, and if so are they a good option?

Congrats on the new ride!

The red GT belongs to a local member and he has the wrx rims. I think he's running azenis (same size) and lowered with kyb/eibachs (??) and he has no problem.

You should post in your region first before you resort to ebay. No shipping and paypal fees and you can see them in person before you make the purchase.

oh, and I give the RE92 one of these

Thanks for your help! I'll keep an eye on the classifieds and on Ebay for a set. I'm in Middlebury, Vermont so I doubt I have alot of options as far as buying locally, but you never know.

No problem and no mods needed. I have a 97 legacy with WRX wheels and rims.

They will fit, no problem, even with the stock RE92s. I have them on my 98 Legacy L.

I plan on doing the same to my 98. Unless I can find a set of GT rims (which are the same spec's as the WRX rims)

I got some wrx wheels and tires for under $400 today with less than 50 miles on them. Should be here in about a week. Thanks for your advice everyone.

They do look nice, although, they limit a number of brake mods. For instance, they won't allow the subaru 4pot-front/2pot-rear setup.

But thats if you are headed down that road.

But....that is a decent price for those wheels.
