Thanks! Finally got the tag from the state last week.

Have a friend with a WRX, his plate says "LEFTLNR." Another guy who parks in my parking garage at work has a bugeye STi with the plate "PURRRRR." Occasionally we all park side by side and it's Impreza time at work.

Does NY or NV allow 8 characters? I didn't think ANY state allows 8 characters on license plates.

yes, NY allows for 8 letters. they have 8 spaces on issued plates to begin with (7 digits and a space).
