Mike ?
and the pitboss, me

((There are six spots still open, first come first serve. www.hools.com/subarufees.html))

Our 3 run groups are shaping up really nicely, this will truly be a luxurious day time and pressure wise.

Group 1: About 30% of the drivers. This is going to be a great way to try out a track for the first or second time. No pressure to break records or your car. Limited passing and wide car spacing. Friendly instructors interested in making your first time safe and fun.
Group 2: About 40%. An evolutionary Group that will spend time getting to know the track and each other. Passing to be determined.
Group 3: A handful of experienced drivers and the instructors.

Based on instructor permission, drivers may move up.
No one will be bored, I guarantee that.

NEWS: Spectators and crew are welcome. We will have to work out things like some sort of tailgate lunch etc, since drivers have paid for lunch, drinks etc as part of the day.

Also: BIG THANKS to sponsors and driver "prizes" from - Primitive Racing,
SMC Stainless Brakes, SCC, Kartboy, Teague's Auto, Panoz Racing School, Subaru of America.
Please support them by buying their dope goods!! More sponsors soon...

I'm fired up about this!

cheers,

angus

Do you know if the sponsors are bringing any stuff to sell? After tossing around the track I am sure they could sell some stuff!

Angus,
Excellent job on this! Looking forward to the day. My 16 year old son will probably skip school in order to spectate. (With my approval.)
Thanks again for yr time and energy.

p.s. CHP sometimes has radar set up near Willows exit on I5. Mainly on race weekends, but be aware.

Talking

Heck yeah, as long as it is free to watch (hmmm) I will be there. I pay for school all by myself, and it never hurts to actually have a REASON to skip class

We should start a spectator list, just so we can be as cool as the drivers heh heh heh

Question

That's great that admission is free for spectators. Does anyone know if dogs are allowed? I'm figuring that they probably are't, but I thought I'd check before making dog-sitting arrangements.

I'm also curious about whether vendors would have items for sale at Thunderhill and what the vendors are providing as prizes.

Thanks again SFSube for arranging this event.
I'm really looking fwd to it.

Knowing your car is over half the battle.

Look at the guys who rocked the house at the kart track...driving skill, not mods, were the source of the smacking!

although #2 was way slow...
