Post Cold Air Intake

My friend told me he read an article on Sports compact car that they modded an Impreza with regular intake piping and straight pipe and got +20 off the wheels. Is this really true? If YES! WHERE THE HECK DO I GET IT!!!! *drool*

I doubt it is true. If it is it was probably a Turbo Car. I put an intake on and ran slower quarter mile times

The friend is either lying, talking about a different car, or missunderstanding the article.

I don't think that you can get 20 hp "to the wheels."

Thumbs up

Imprezinator, what intake did you put on? I have a GanzFlow Cold Air (www.imprezars.com), and I noticed a positive difference when I put it on and reset the ECU. Larry claims 10-15% with this setup, and I believe it. With the intake and a K&N filter, I'm turning 7.3sec 0-60 and 15.5 @ 90 MPH on my G-Tech. Just my experience. Great intake for the money, IMHO.

you guys don't remember when shiv started moding the RS that he dynoed all those intakes and exhausts!?
Anyhow, there was a gain of 13hp from the use of an intake like JC Sports, Minnam, and Rallispec. This was on a MY99 RS however. The MY00+ behave differently to intake modifications.
