my recommendation is use a stock disc and a act or clutchmaster pressure plate.the problem in our cars is the weak pressure plate.i use a clutchmaster PP and a stock disc and im running 8psi.its never slipped and my tranny is still alive.

also the reason our cars get that shudder is the PP,since i changed mine ive never had that problem again, even the dealerships reccomend this.

Well, I'm going against the ACT-equipped masses and trying ISR's kevlar disk with the stock pressure plate. I'll certainly post results when I get the clutch (and my turbo) installed.

They're at www.autocaresubaru.com

If you are using the '92 FWD tranny then your choices might be very limited to a few on hand. Most of those choices will give you a harsher engagement than stock too since most of the clutch sets I've seen for the early model trannys use a 4 and 6 puck design.

ClutchMasters, ACT, ClutchNet all have applications for early model Subaru FWD trannys.
