Post Newbie question: what does a S-AFC do?

Basically it reads the signal from the MAF or MAP sensor and alters it. It then sends the alterned signal to the computer and "tricks" it into thinking either more or less air is coming into the engine. Then, the computer compensates by adding or taking away fuel. Do a search and you will come up with a lot of answers
